Sujet : Functional correlation bounds for intermittent maps and billiards

Résumé :

We consider the finite-dimensional distributions of sets of states generated by (time-dependent) intermittent maps and dispersing billiards with a random initial condition. For both systems we establish bounds, which we call “functional correlation bounds”, on the distance between the finite-dimensional distributions and corresponding product distributions. The bounds provide a unified perspective on several probabilistic limit theorems, including central limit theorems and almost sure invariance principles, which we treat as applications.
