Inverse Problems and Imaging

The French Mathematical Society (SMF) organizes a three-days meeting in the framework of Etats de la Recherche sessions.

This meeting will take place at Institut Henri Poincaré from 20 to 22 February, 2013. Il will consist of 3 mini-courses (4:00 each) and 6 talks (0:45 each).

The main objective of this session will be to present recent developments on inverse problems and imaging. Most of these developements result from interactions between several domains of mathematics: PDE analysis and control, stochastic analysis, statistics, multi-scale analysis. This session will present the state of the art, open problems, and recent applications. The audience will be constituted of mathematicians (at least master), PhD students and reseachers, not necessarily specialists of the subject.

Main lectures

The three mini-courses will be given by
- Liliana Borcea (Rice University, USA)
- Hyeonbae Kang (Inha University, Korea)
- Gunther Uhlmann (University of Washington, USA)
